Weather...

A few folks back home have asked about the weather here. It been highs in the lower 60's and lows in the mid 50's. Pretty windy today which made it seem cool at times. Most of our team would agree that it's better weather than the 108 temps back home :-)

We got a sneek peak at the new Church building for Christ Alive Church!

Christ Alive just got a new building to hold services in. They are in the process of painting an fixing it up. Our team went and looked at it and we will help them move items from their old building to the new one tomorrow evening.

Irish Sea/Light house trip

We got to take a brief sight seeing trip to a light house along the Irish sea. It was very windy and a little cool, but pretty impressive.

Welcome from Christ alive Church!

Our friends at Christ Alive Church in Enniscorthy welcomed us with food, drinks, and snacks. It was great to visit with them. We look forward to spending more time with them soon!

Made it to Dublin!

Boarding again

We are boarding the plane from Chicago to Dublin.

Rough start, but God is faithful

This morning we were greeted with bad news. Our flight had been cancelled. After a lot of phone calls and effort, we were helped out by VIP sports and the got a bus to the Abilene airport for us and we took the bus to Dallas to catch our next flight from DFW to Chicago. The bus ride was a little tight, but in addition to our 19 team member, luggage and supplies, we were also able to give a ride to four elderly women and a soldier going home from Afghanistan. Isn't it funny how God uses us and situations that don't seem to be right to do His will and serve His purpose?

Hebrews 13:16 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

Philippians 2:4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others

We made it to DFW, checked luggage, made it through security, ha about 50 minutes to eat, and boarded our next flight to Chicago. We have posted a few pictures to our picture page http://beltwayireland.blogspot.com/p/pictures.html

God is good. Our team is looking forward to what He is going to do in us and through us in Ireland!

At DFW

We made it to DFW, checked luggage, and passed through security. Going to eat lunch and board at 1:45 for Chicago.

Funny how God uses us

Not only did things work out so we could catch a bus to DFW, but we were also able to give a ride to four older ladies and a soldier that were stranded in Abilene after the flight was canceled.

We might make it!

Had a few issues, but we are on the road headed to Dallas!

Getting better!

Looks like we will be OK. Take a bus from Abilene to Dallas, get there at noon. It only gives us 20 min or so to get checked in. But if everything else goes smoothly we should be good!

Thanks to VIP sports tours and David Standard.

Need prayers already

Not a good start. Our flight from Abilene was cancelled. Trying to come up with a "Plan B"

All packed and ready!

our team and family members spent time packing tonight. Not only did we have to pack enough personal items for a 10 day trip, but we also had to pack arts and crafts, teaching supplies, and bibles. It took some packing and repacking and a little time, but it is done.
