Camp message from Randy

Tonight was our final night for SuperKids Camp and Teen Camp 2012.  It was a fantastic night!  Really was a sweet ending to a very unusual day.  Rained all day…and I mean rained!  For the first time since I can remember, we had to have every activity indoors.  Trust me, it was a little bit of a challenge, but both the Ireland and American teams were up to the challenge!  After all, our theme yesterday was on Perseverance.  How better to learn perseverance, than to have to persevere?  Our Hip Hop class was in a room about 20 X 8.  Sound large?  Not quite as large as you might think when you have 45 or so kids in it!  Swords met in an even smaller room.  But, rest assured, the kids had a great time!  God's presence and His Word are not hindered by rain or small, crowded rooms!

You'll also notice some pictures of our Teen Camp.  Was a great year for them as well. We had a young man in Teen Camp that had somewhat of a difficult time last year.  I'm not even sure that difficult is the correct word.  He was a young man wrestling with this God we told him loved him.  He questioned unanswered prayers.  However, since last years Teen Camp, he's been going to Christ Alive's youth meeting, G-Force, regularly.  Got to visit with him today and he's a different young man than he was a year ago!  Go God!!  We need to continue to pray and believe for God to save this generation of teens.  Teen Camp was just a taste of what Holy Spirit really wants to do in each of their lives.

Our whole theme this year was on the Olympics and being Champions.  At appropriate age level teaching and activities, both camps learned what it meant to be a champion.  But, todays lesson was on the Best Champion of All…..Jesus!  Pray that the seeds that were sown this week will take root, not a shallow root, but a deep root and that there would be a hunger for discipleship in the lives of all who attended this week.  The Word says He has begun a good work and is faithful to complete.  We're taking Him at His Word that this is just the beginning.

I must say that I'm so proud of the family of God at Christ Alive.  God has used them in such great ways and He's no where near done!!  Please pray for Pastor Enda Long and his wife, Angela.  God has called them to lead this Body and  I believe He is going to use them to lead Christ Alive in great growth, numerically and spiritually.

Angela said something tonight to the crowd of probably around 600 plus that I think bears repeating and is a reminder for us all.  As she extended an invitation to those who attended tonights celebration, she said, "IT'S ABOUT RELATIONSHIP, NOT RELIGION".  It's a great statement for a nation that understands religion.  I am asking that Holy Spirit uses that simple statement to stir the hearts of those who heard it tonight.

May this week play a part in the lives of the people of Enniscorthy Ireland coming to RELATIONSHIP with JESUS CHRIST!!

Thanks to each of you for checking our blog out this week and sincere gratitude for standing with us in prayer.

AND, Team Ireland 2012…..You served well.  May you know the pleasure of the Father, for all you did in His Name.

Randy
